eliza dushku

Eliza Dushku 21, grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts, and graduated from high school there. She is Albanian-Danish, and was raised Mormon, but isn't extremely religious these days (she does "believe in a higher power"). Her mother is a college professor, and her oldest brother is in the Peace Corps in Central America. Eliza got what you might call her start in the business by signing plays for deaf children at the Watertown Children's Theater, but she got her first film role at 10 years old, in That Night. She continued to get movie roles (you might recognize her as the daughter in True Lies) until she chose to take some time off during her junior and senior years of high school. Buffy was her first role after graduating high school (originally intended as a five-episode stint), and since filming started well before her eighteenth birthday, she had to become legally emancipated from her parents in order to work the long hours. Eliza is a self-described tomboy, only recently starting to "act like a girl." She is a good singer, has studied dance, does a little Tae-Bo, and loves yoga. Her musical tastes range from the Beastie Boys to Lauryn Hill to Metallica. She currently lives with one of her brothers, and has been appearing in quite a few movies recently. She has said that she's open to guest appearances on Buffy and/or Angel, but she has no interest in signing a long-term contract, and plans to attend college.

Faith is played by Eliza Dushku. Eliza Dushku was born in Boston on 30 December, 1980. The actress, currently twenty, started out at the Watertown Children's Theatre, a place where she sometimes still performs by signing plays to the deaf. At the age of ten, Dushku made her film debut in the movie "That Night". The 1992 film gave Dushku a large role that put her in the spotlight. The following year Dushku landed a role as Pearl alongside Leonardo Dicaprio in 1993. Leonardo taught Eliza a valuable lesson. She was constantly getting badgered by students and teachers about her film making. Dicaprio changed things quire a bit for her. He taught her how to deal with bullies and other high school dangers. Dushku says she is "...forever grateful to him". Dushku continued to get roles, many minor, over the next few years. The last film she appeared in was "Race the Sun", a 1996 film in which she plays a teen with a drinking problem. From here Eliza took her junior and senior years off of acting to bring up her grades up. And she did. Dushku has been expected to both Boston and George Washington Universities though she is holding off to work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Eliza lives in Watertown, Massachusetts where she graduated high school. However, these days Eliza spends a lot of her time on the Buffy set. Also, due to the fact that minors can only work certain hours, Eliza has been legally emancipated from her parents who are both college professors that are writing a book in Romania.

She is already considered a veteran actress by her peers, as she has been in numerous roles in major motion pictures. She has studied dance (ballet, jazz, and tap), and now she can sometimes be seen at children's theaters, where she signs plays to the deaf. Eliza Dushku was discovered at the end of a 5-month search throughout the United States for the perfect girl to play the lead role of Alice opposite Juliette Lewis in the film "That Night."

Since then she has been in several films, and has worked with actors such as Robert DeNiro, Ellen Barkin, Leonardo DiCaprio, Paul Reiser, and Jim Belushi. Born in Boston on December 30, 1980, she has studied the piano, drums and dance (jazz, tap and ballet). Her previous acting experience includes numerous amateur presentations at the Watertown Children's Theatre where she has been part of the company since she was in first grade. In addition to acting, she sometimes is seen on stage at the Children's Theatre signing for the deaf.
